Change in plans

Today was a day filled with ideas and changes.  Ty went over what he had accomplished with the pressure washer. The painting will actually be taking place over labor day weekend.  I thought we were NOT suppose to labor?  Some may be, but along with many others I will be laboring right along side.

I met with Robin Gordon from Estate Sales Ltd., who is the daughter of long time neighbor/friend of my grandmother.  I wish I would've called her from the beginning.

I have decided that the sale must start ASAP!  Tomorrow I start gathering tables to start prepping for an enormous sale that will take a small village to pull off.  Luckily I have a very supportive group of family and friends.  This weekend my soon to be sister in-law will be tackling setup and organization with me.  Anyone that is willing to come on up is more than welcome!  :)
Really the majority of the help will be needed on the day of the sale, which will be in the next couple weeks.  Dates to come soon!

Estate sale update

Friday I had Peerless Estate Sales come and tour the contents of the home.  It was a TERRIBLE experience.  He was not friendly, he was negative about several items that would be "hard to sell", he was obviously frustrated w/ Joey making noise.  Pricing is a rip off!  If the sale is over $25,000 the commission is around 16% it is based on a sliding scale.  If the sale is as low as $3000 then there would be closer to a 67% commission!  WHAT?!  That is ridiculous.  I have another company coming on Tuesday to say the least.

Day 2, 3 and 4

Day 2 not much was done besides making phone calls and organizing the paint crew, estate sale meetings and attorney's for the deed.
Day 3 on my way up to the house to do some landscaping and meet with Peerless Estate Sales.  They will tour the home and give me a quote on their commission and time frame.
Day 4 will be the crew pressure washing and mending broken pieces before the paint goes on.  They are estimating 20 gallons of paint for the base!  Wow!
